disAbilities Expo

Wow! Time flys when you are having fun! The disABILITIES came and went. What took months to plan, was over in a day. And, a good day it was.

On April 10 over 1,200 people visted the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum for the Expo. They participated in sports demos, toured an exhibitor hall over 75+ vendors, took part in workshops, watched fashion shows and heard keynote speaker Laura Stringfellow and met Faith the dog.

The day was like a reunion for some and for others a chance to make new friends. The Expo was awesome. Turnstone was proud to present it and thanks all the people who made its success possible. The Steering Committee was top notch and our primary sponsor, the AWS Foundation was amazing to work with. Also, thanks to the many volunteers, our speakers, models, exhibitors and everyone else - you rock.
